Xiaomi Stopped By PTA Selling Smartphones In Pakistan

Xiaomi is a private Chinese electronics company based in Beijing. It is the world's 5th largest smartphone maker. Xiaomi designs, develops, and sells smartphones, mobile apps and laptops. This time Xiaomi gets ban to sale or advertise its smartphones in Pakistan, PTA confirmed. According to statement published on their website they say..

The Pakistani Concerned authority (PTA) has demanded that XiaomiPK.com has to stop the sale/marketing of all Mi mobile devices. This moment calls for public discussion, and we want our customers and people around the country to understand the monopoly of some brands in market.
According to PTA they say "All phone sets have to be type-approved by the PTA and Xiaomi has not received type-approval yet." It is not confirmed that Xiaomi has applied for the NOC or not. PTA say if they apply and submit their smartphone for approval we can issue NOC and allow them to sale and advertise their smartphones in Pakistan.

On the other hand Xiaomi also stated in their statement that:
Mi Smartphones are sold globally and have great market share in smartphones industry and we believe that Pakistani market deserve to have fair competition but these events make us ponder that some competitors believe to grab market through influence instead of competing with quality and service.
This statement clearly show that PTA is under some pressure by some other smartphone selling company. Although Xiaomi has not named the company but under the words they have spoken about it. Lets see when and how it will get settled.
