Google Plans To Block Extremists On Facebook

Google is venturing up its endeavors to piece "radical and fear based oppression related recordings" over its stages, utilizing a mix of innovation and human screens.

The measures declared Sunday gone ahead of the heels of comparative endeavors divulged by Facebook a week ago, and take after a call by the Group of Seven pioneers a month ago for the online mammoths to accomplish more to control online fanatic substance.

"While we and others have worked for years to identify and remove content that violates our policies, the uncomfortable truth is that we, as an industry, must acknowledge that more needs to be done," said a blog post by Google general counsel Kent Walker.

Walker said Google would dedicate more assets to apply counterfeit consciousness to stifle YouTube recordings utilized as a part of the support of radical activities.

Google acknowledged that technology alone cannot solve the problem, and said that it would "greatly increase the number of independent experts" on the watch for videos that violate its guidelines.

A similar initiative was announced last week by Facebook, which earlier this year said it was adding 3,000 staff to track and remove violent video content.
